After his father's death Ar.Rahman started learning piano and keyboard with his musical equipment and that was the income to his family. Considering his mother's advice, he converted to ISLAM due to her younger sister was seriously ill and he started believing in Islam, then she finally recovered from illness.
Then he changed his name, A.S.Dileep Kumar to Allah-Rakha Rahman (A.R. Rahman). He worked with many great Indian composers, like M.S.VISWA NATHAN, MASTERO ILIYARAAJA, RAMESH NAIDU and RAJ KOTI.
